Travelling to Long Island, Bahamas and Seagrape Ocean Villas:
Air travel available are Bahamasair, Pineapple Air and Southern Air.
Connection flights are available after arriving here. Air service to Nassau include American Airlines, Continental, Air Canada, British Airways, and many others depending on where you are coming from including BahamasAir. We will be happy to assist you with your travel plans including pick up from the Airport at Deadmans Cay. From Nassau it takes approx. 1 hour by plane. There is also a mailboat service. The Island Link, a new mailboat that docks at Salt Pond, and the Mia Dean, which docks at Clarence Town. The boat trips takes about 15 hours.

The Islands of the Bahamas are located just of the southeast coast of Florida. Deadmans Cay Airport is just a short drive from the Seagrape Ocean Villas. It takes approximately 10 minutes. By plane there are American Airlines, Continental, Air Canada, British Airways, Bahamasair and many others that fly into Nassau Bahamas. You would have to get a connection flight into Long Island. Deadmans Cay Airport. Connection flights from Nassau include, Bahamas Air, Pineapple Air, and Southern Air. We can pick up and drop off at the Deadmans Cay Airport.

Seagrape Ocean Villas is located on Long Island Bahamas. Long Island is a very long and slim Island. Our Villas is just 8 Miles from the Deadmans Cay Airport.

Rental cars
Most visitors like to rent a car for all or part of their stay, In order to explore the Island, to shop and enjoy their holiday. Our establishment has car rentals available to rent or you can book inclusive in rates.
Health Centers
There are a couple government clinics located in Long Island. The Deadmans Cay health center is the closest. Hours are 9 am - 4 pm. Emergency care and anything that cannot wait until business hours would have to contact the Doctor at home or the Nurses at home. For emergencies persons are flown out to Nassau to seek further medical assistance at the Hospitals. Private Charter flights are available. There is also a private doctor that visits Long Island on Thursdays.

Analysis of Long Island
Long Island is located 170 miles southeast of New Providence (Nassau) There is an estimated population of 4,500 persons. Long Island is comprised of 58 settlements. Among each of these settlements most of the Improvements are placed along the one main highway. As time progressed however the pattern has taken on of providing some sub-divisions and neighbourhoods located off the main Queens Highway. The Queens Highway runs from the Southend of the Island to the Northend of the Island. The Queens Highway runs through the neighbourhoods where there are stores, farms etc. The main Queens Highway has been well maintained by the government, electricity and telephones have been extended to all parts of the Island. Where as Cable tv and city water has only been distributed to certain parts of the Island. The majority of the Islands income is derived from farming, fishing , construction and some tourism mainly in
the northern district of the island namely Stella Maris and Cape Santa Maria Resorts. There are several other smaller facilities throughout the Island. Seagrape Ocean Villas is new and ready to expand the location is very beautiful and peaceful.A fair amount of yachts visit Long Island, mainly in Salt Pond, Clarence Town Cape Santa Maria and Stella Maris harbours. Several projects have been planned for Long Island and as they come on stream it would further enhance the growth and development of the Island. Long Island was an Island visited by Christopher Columbus he called it "Yuma". Christopher Columbus has a monument located at the northern end of the Island commemerating his landing.
